It seems that almost everyone wanting to uninstall PT 10 on Mavericks would have PT 11 and not want the latter touched. I guess what I'm asking, what's the safest, easiest way to delete PT 10, but not mess with PT 11? I really do not want to have to re-install plug-ins. When they say "ALL Pro Tools files," should one assume this also means PT 11? Why do they say "back up the following folders" instead of simply "don't delete them"? And if one is to back them up, it sounds as though one should put them someplace else, as they'll be needed. I canceled when it asked me to close all other software running on my system and thought I'd pop over here to ask if this installer does, in fact, work. But, I've read here that the PT 10 uninstaller doesn't work in Mavericks and that is also stated in the following Avid document: How to manually uninstall Pro Tools 10 and Pro Tools Express on Mac OS X Mavericks 10.9.x.īut before I tried the steps in the above linked document (also included below), I tried the uninstaller for PT 10 and it launched and started to move through the steps. I'm one of those who had a dual install of Pro Tools 10 and 11 on Mountain Lion, but upgraded (not long ago) to Mavericks (10.9) and now want to get rid of Pro Tools 10.
